Scott Molampy (aka Damaru) hanging out with six very attractive, five foot tall, cuddly noses in Geppetto’s Sunset Park, Brooklyn studio. In this photo, the noses (costumes) are all in the “finishing touches” phase of the project, which Scott usually enjoys the most. Both he and his partner, Will (William Arthur Mills), agree that these noses were quite a hoot to build. The costumes were fabricated for On the Go Marketing for Zyrtec’s "Race Against Your Allergies".

“It was all so much fun- especially on the day of the event!”, describes Will, “It was even a bit Dali-esque! We really loved experiencing the joy these six noses brought to New York City that day. They were an enormous hit! In an absurd and kind of surreal way, the noses all had quite distinctive personalty traits. Each one was a different ‘skin’ color and shape. It was also about the actors inside the noses, too. They all handled it very well- they were even quite hysterical!”.

On March 19th, 2010, the makers of ZYRTEC® announced the introduction of new ZYRTEC® Liquid Gels by staging a "Race Against Your Allergies" in New York City to officially welcome the first day of Spring. The event, hosted by actress and allergy sufferer Alison Sweeney, was attended by hundreds of New Yorkers, and offered allergy sufferers the opportunity to race alongside oversized "running noses" to see if they could outrun their allergy symptoms.

Allergy sufferer and actress, Alison Sweeney, joined the makers of the fastest 24-hour over-the-counter (OTC) allergy medicine, ZYRTEC®,for an unusual race to officially welcome the first day of spring and new ZYRTEC® Liquid Gels.

The "Race Against Your Allergies," which took place in New York City's Madison Square Park, featured some unusual runners - six, five-foot-tall noses representing some of allergy sufferers' worst symptoms, giving them the chance to "outrun" them this season.

Known for her starring roles in TV's The Biggest Loser and Days of Our Lives, Sweeney also suffers from indoor and outdoor allergies. "I love spring, but I know what it's like to live with allergies and that it can be difficult sometimes for me to participate in the activities I love, especially during this time of year," said Sweeney. "I've partnered with the makers of ZYRTEC® Liquid Gels as a fun way to kick off the season and show fellow allergy sufferers and lovers of the outdoors how we can outrun our allergy symptoms this year."

AND THEY’RE OFF!!!

What is particularly amusing in this photo is that this woman, who either doesn’t know, or, is completely un-phased by these “not so subtle” noses that appear to be stalking her. We love her expression, as she continues to TRY to go about her daily life!
